From the 2026/27 season, the FIS wants to combine the World Cup competitions for women and men in ski jumping. This was announced by Race Director Sandro Pertile.

With the same competition venues on the same dates, the aim is to raise the status of women's ski jumping in particular, said the Italian. Engelberg, for example, already hosted the men's and women's competitions on the same weekend in 2024 and 2023.
