Despite leading 4:1, the ZSC Lions also lose their third game under new head coach Marco Bayer. The defending champions lost the Zurich derby in Kloten 4:5 on penalties.

As a result of the Lions' defeat at fifth-placed Kloten, SC Bern is now the first runner-up to leaders Lausanne. The Bernese won 3:2 at Genève-Servette and are now five points behind LHC. They are followed by ZSC, who have played three games less than the two top teams.
