The fact that Davos has returned to winning after six defeats does not lack a certain logic. The facts of Tuesday's games.

The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers can be described as Davos' favorite opponents. With a 5:3 win, they celebrated their 13th victory in the last 15 duels. It was their eighth success in a row in front of a home crowd. Matej Stransky scored 28 seconds before the end of the opening period to make it 2:0, Simon Knak increased the lead to 3:0 33 seconds after the first intermission. The visitors also missed the start of the final period; Simon Ryfors made it 4:2 after 55 seconds. Nevertheless, the Lakers were able to hope for a point until 56 seconds before the end, when Knak redeemed HCD with his second goal of the evening - a shot into the empty net. The fact that Rapperswil got back into the game was primarily down to Malte Strömwall, who recorded two goals and an assist.

Crazy turnaround from Kloten

After 42 minutes in the Zurich derby between Kloten and ZSC, everything looked like a win for the visitors. Sven Andrighetto gave the Lions a 4:1 lead with his second goal of the game. In the 46th minute, Dean Kukan missed a great chance to make it 5:1 - he failed to score. It would have been ZSC's second shorthander of the evening after Juho Lammikko's 2:1 21.8 seconds before the first intermission. After Rajan Sataric (49.) made it 2:4 out of nothing, Kloten believed in victory again. Mischa Ramel (58.) and Niko Ojamäki with a converted penalty 32.4 seconds before the end of regulation time saved the home team into overtime. Thanks to the penalty shootout victory, Kloten recorded their fifth win against ZSC in the last six duels. It was Marco Bayer's third defeat in his third game after being appointed head coach.

Bern wins thanks to goalie Wüthrich

Simon Moser (11th) and Fabian Ritzmann (14th) gave Bern a 2-0 lead in Geneva with two goals within 182 seconds. From half-time onwards, Servette turned up the heat and deservedly reduced the deficit to 1:2 in the 37th minute thanks to Vincent Praplan, who had missed the post two minutes earlier. In the third period, however, Geneva conceded 1:3 (53') during a period of pressure, with Austin Czarnik responsible. The hosts were unable to do more than make it 2:3 through Teemu Hartikainen 22 seconds before the end. The shot ratio in the final period was 28:4! (50:29 in total) in Geneva's favor, but Bern goalie Philip Wüthrich had a brilliant evening. While SCB celebrated their fourth away win in a row, Servette conceded their ninth defeat in their 16th home game of the season.

Lars Leuenberger's streak comes to an end

After Lars Leuenberger took over from sacked head coach Pat Emond at Fribourg on December 22, 2024, Gottéron took off. Not only did they win their first three championship games, but they also won the Spengler Cup, the first title in the club's history. However, they now suffered a 2:1 defeat at Ambri-Piotta after a penalty shoot-out. The Leventines' match-winner was Chris DiDomenico of all people, who converted two penalties. The Canadian had moved from Fribourg to Ambri during the season. The home team had taken the lead in regulation time thanks to Dario Bürgler (9') and Marcus Sörensen equalized in the power play (38'). It was the 17th overtime in the 35th game of the current championship for the team from North Ticino.

Ajoie also beats the Tigers in the second home game to zero

Ajoie scored in three games in a row for the first time this season. The only scorer in the 1-0 home win against the SCL Tigers was Jonathan Hazen in the 27th minute. Ajoie goalie Benjamin Conz saved all 29 shots on goal and celebrated his fourth shutout in the current championship, the second against the Langnau team after the 2-0 win in the first home game.
