Gregor Deschwanden can't spoil the Austrians' party at the final of the tour. On the contrary: the man from Lucerne only finished eleventh in Bischofshofen and slipped to fifth place in the overall ranking.

Daniel Tschofenig received the golden eagle for winning the overall ranking of the Four Hills Tournament. He beat Jan Hörl and Stefan Kraft in the three-way competition. Tschofenig, Hörl and Kraft also took the podium places in this order in the daily ranking.

As in Innsbruck, Deschwanden fell behind in the first jump. He was slightly too late on the take-off. This time he did not make up any places from 10th intermediate place. 133.5 m and 138 m even earned him his worst ranking so far this season. Norway's Johann-André Forfang overtook the Swiss athlete in fourth place in the overall ranking. Killian Peier had to make do with 25th place in the daily ranking.

Nevertheless, Deschwanden's 5th place was a strong performance: the last time a Swiss athlete was ranked higher in the tour classification was eleven years ago with Simon Ammann in second place.

Tschofenig made Austria the sole record nation at the 73rd tour. The Austria eagles have now flown to 17 victories. Since 2015 (Kraft's victory), they had shared this mark with Finland.
