The Jura team's tactics worked for 40 minutes. Three "imports" scored for Ajoie. Anttoni Honka made it 3:2 ten seconds before the second break. Benjamin Conz, goalie in Leventina from 2017 to 2024, made a magnificent save.
Suddenly, however, Ajoie's dominance was over: André Heim equalized after 90 seconds in the final period with his 27th shot on goal to make it 3:3. And Ambri-Piotta's next three final attempts, first in overtime by Philippe Maillet, another 40 seconds later by Inti Pestoni and again 18 seconds later by Dominik Kubalik in double overtime, also found their way into the net. Diego Kostner made the final score 7:3 in the 51st minute.
