The New Jersey Devils end their four-game losing streak in the NHL thanks in part to three points from Hischier. The Swiss scored a goal and two assists in a 5-1 win at home against Boston.

Nico Hischier scored three goals in a game for the 22nd time in his over 500-game NHL career. The 26-year-old from Valais scored on the power play in the final period and was involved in the Devils' best phase with two assists in the middle period, in which they turned a 0:1 into a 4:1. Timo Meier scored both of Dawson Mercer's goals (1:1 and 4:1).

The only downer from the Devils' point of view was the loss of goalie Jacob Markström. The Swede will have to take some time off after a collision with an opposing forward at the start of the second period. His replacement, Jake Allen, stopped all 16 shots on goal.

Kevin Fiala also got a home win with the Los Angeles Kings. In the 2:1 win against the Florida Panthers, the Swede Adrian Kempe deflected Fiala's shot into the net in the 54th minute for the winning goal.
