Bike BMX. Switzerland is still without a medal in BMX racing since the Olympic premiere in 2008. This could soon change. With Zoé Claessens, Switzerland is sending a hot iron into the race. As European champion and World Championship silver medalist, the Vaud native successfully mastered the quarter-finals on Thursday. This also applies to the other Swiss participants Cédric Butti, Simon Marquart and Nadine Aeberhard. The semi-finals will take place on Friday from 20:00, with the medals being contested from 21:35.
Swimming. Noè Ponti is aiming for his second qualification for the final in the Paris swimming pool. Two days after his 5th place in the 200 m dolphin, the Ticino swimmer will be taking the half-distance in his showpiece discipline seriously. After his sensational bronze medal three years ago, Ponti is one of the favorites this time. The preliminary heats (from 11.06 am) and the semi-finals (from 9.22 pm) are scheduled for Friday.
