Maria Therese Tviberg is ending her career as a ski racer at the age of 30.

"It's time to say goodbye to what I've been doing all my life. Time to look for new goals and take care of my body," the Norwegian wrote on Instagram.

Tviberg won World Championship gold in the parallel race in Méribel in 2023 ahead of Wendy Holdener. In a total of 85 World Cup races, the technical specialist finished in the top 10 14 times. She was set back several times by serious injuries.
