This means that the Swedes are unlikely to be stopped from reaching the final in a week's time. Färjestad took a 1-0 lead in Prague after just 99 seconds, and the 4-1 lead after 45 seconds of the final period was a foregone conclusion.
The other finalists will be the defending champions Genève-Servette and the Swiss champions ZSC Lions, with the first leg taking place in Geneva on Wednesday evening. Should Färjestad reach the final, which will be decided in just one game, it will have home ice.
