HC Lugano has managed to get off the mark in Wednesday's National League games. On the day Antti Törmänen joined the club as a consultant, the Luganesi win 2-0 against Rapperswil.
HC Lugano also reconciled with its fans. A week after the sit-in during the defeat against Langnau and half a week after the next home defeat against Gottéron, the support was right again. Daniel Carr and Aleksi Peltonen both gave Lugano a 2-0 lead shortly after missing powerplay chances.
Nothing documents the balance of the league better than the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' season. At the beginning of October, the Lakers were leading the table. At the end of October, they were still in third place, but after the defeat in Lugano, the St. Gallen team dropped to second-last place in the rankings.
Of the eight teams that played on Wednesday, EHC Kloten occupies the best place. The Kloten team won 3:2 in Ajoie and improved to 5th place.
In addition, the SCL Tigers defeated HC Fribourg-Gottéron 4-1 after trailing 1-0, while EV Zug came back twice to beat HC Ambri-Piotta 3-2 after overtime.
