Traffic accident Motorcycle collision in Hinterkappelen leaves two seriously injured

In a head-on collision on the Kappelen Bridge in Hinterkappelen on Friday morning, two motorcyclists were seriously injured. The woman involved in the accident is in a critical condition, as the Bern cantonal police reported in a press release.

According to initial findings, a motorcyclist was traveling in the direction of Wohlen near Bern when he crossed into the oncoming lane for reasons that have yet to be clarified. There, he collided with a female motorcyclist who was traveling in the opposite direction.

According to the press release, the two seriously injured people received initial medical treatment from third parties before being taken to hospital by two ambulances. The Kappelen Bridge was closed for several hours. The cantonal police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
