Municipal vote ZG Baar voters approve two development plans

The voters of Baar ZG approved two development plans on Sunday. In addition to a commercial building, a 19-storey high-rise building can now also be built in Unterfeld Süd. In addition, old buildings on Büelplatz can be replaced by new buildings.

The Unterfeld Süd development plan was approved with 74% of votes in favor (4216 to 1470 votes). The project is only the first stage of construction. Two more, including affordable apartments, are to follow.

The Marktgasse-Rigistrasse development plan was approved with 82% of votes in favor (4691 to 1004 ). It enables the Büelplatz area to be redeveloped.

The voter turnout was 40 percent.
