A drone attack by Hezbollah from Lebanon on the Israeli city of Caesarea was aimed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to government sources. This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the German Press Agency. However, Netanyahu and his wife were not at home at the time of the attack. Netanyahu's private home is located in Caesarea, a coastal town on the Mediterranean. According to the army, no one was injured in the attack.

The head of government appeared combative afterwards. He would not be deterred, Netanyahu said in a video published on social media. Israel would win the war.

Netanyahu's spokesman did not specify the exact location of the drone strike. As a rule, such details may not be published in Israel because opponents could use them for future attacks. The media had reported an impact near Netanyahu's house.

The Lebanese Shia militia Hezbollah, which is allied with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, has been firing rockets and drones at Israel almost daily since the start of the Gaza war in October last year.
