The German economy exported slightly more goods in November than in the previous month. Adjusted for calendar and seasonal effects, the value amounted to 127.3 billion euros, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office.

This was 2.1 percent more than in October, but also 3.5 percent less than a year earlier. Imports also fell in the short term by 3.3 percent to 107.6 billion euros.

The foreign trade surplus of the German economy thus grew to 19.7 billion euros after 13.4 billion euros in October.

Exports to the USA developed particularly strongly (+14.5 percent), while fewer German goods were exported to EU countries (-1.7 percent) than in the previous month. Fewer goods were also exported to China (-4.2 percent).
