The Norwegian won the skiathlon in Cavalese on Saturday. In her 85th World Cup victory, she took half a minute or more off her rivals. Nadine Fähndrich and Anja Weber, in 24th and 25th place, lost five minutes in the 10 km classic and 10 km skating events.
Therese Johaug took the lead in the overall standings for the first time during this tour. Only Astrid Öyre Slind is still within striking distance, 22 seconds behind. However, the tall athlete is less likely to win on the mountain than the 36-year-old lightweight.
