The beach volleyball duo Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner were named Team of the Year at the Sports Awards in Zurich. The Olympic bronze medalists came out on top ahead of the men's national teams in ice hockey and football. For Hüberli and Brunner, who are now going their separate ways after nine years together, winning the longed-for Olympic medal in Paris is a wonderful end to their time together. The last time a beach volleyball duo was voted Team of the Year before them was in 2004 with Patrick Heuscher and Stefan Kobel.
