FC Zurich secure their first win since the end of October. In the 87th minute, 18-year-old Cheveyo Tsawa scores to secure a 1-0 home win against Yverdon.

FC Zurich went into the short winter break with a run of six games without a win. Partly due to this slump, there have been a few personnel changes at president Ancillo Canepa's club in recent weeks. Jonathan Okita and Cheick Condé have left Zurich. The departures of Mirlind Kryeziu and Nikola Katic are likely to be imminent. The central defense was completely reshuffled at the start of the year with Mariano Gomez and 20-year-old Daniel Denoon.

The match winner was an even younger player from the club's own youth academy. Tsawa scored the golden goal from a free kick by Antonio Marchesano. It was the son of former professional Dorjee Tsawa's first goal in the Super League. FCZ's victory came late, but was well deserved. Zurich made an effort and improved in the course of the second half, partly because new signing Steven Zuber showed in his first competitive game for FCZ that he will be a reinforcement.

For Yverdon, who are now coached by Paolo Tramezzani, the dry spell continues. The Vaud team remained winless for the eighth time. Their shortcomings were obvious at the Letzigrund: they lacked cold-bloodedness in finishing. Their few successful attacks were far too harmless.
