VfB Stuttgart continue to struggle this season. In the 10th Bundesliga round, it lost unluckily at home to Eintracht Frankfurt 2:3.
Former St. Gallen player Ermedin Demirovic was the most unlucky player for Stuttgart. The Bosnian hit the edge of the goal twice and failed to beat Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp with a penalty in the 22nd minute. It was not until the 86th minute, when Fabian Rieder had been substituted for a while, that the runners-up from last season started to score. Josha Vagnoman and Nick Woltemade reduced the deficit to 2:3, but Chris Führich's supposed equalizer in the 97th minute did not stand up to scrutiny by the video referee.
Eintracht Frankfurt, who were playing without Aurèle Amenda, were much more efficient. Hugo Ekitiké, Nathaniel Brown and Omar Marmoush scored to give them a 3:0 lead. Frankfurt are in 3rd place, Stuttgart are only eleventh.
