The second clash between FC Basel and Winterthur within a week is also a clear-cut affair. Basel outclassed the Zurich side 5:0.
The shock was still in the bones of FC Winterthur. Last weekend, it had been demolished 6:1 by FC Basel in its own stadium. Seven days later, the error-prone bottom team fared no better at St. Jakob-Park. With their attacking players in good form, FCB were more than a class above.
Anton Kade launched Basel's pressure phase with the 1:0 in the 15th minute, which led to two more goals before the break. Bénie Traoré, who also made it 4:0 in the 55th minute, and Kevin Carlos quickly made it clear. Albian Ajeti scored the final goal in the 82nd minute.
