YB manage to break free in the 10th round of the Super League on the debut of interim coach Joël Magnin. FC Zurich took over from Luzern at the top of the table with a derby win.
Young Boys won 2-1 against Luzern thanks to goals from Joel Monteiro and Cedric Itten at the start of the second half to leap from last place to 8th, at least until Sunday.
FC Zurich won the 286th Zurich derby against Grasshoppers 2:1 and thus moved past Lucerne back to the top. Lindrit Kamberi and Antonio Marchesano scored in the first half for coach Ricardo Moniz's team.
