The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have announced the arrival of Canadian center Tanner Fritz. The 33-year-old center has signed a contract valid until the end of the current season.

Fritz has spent most of his career in the AHL, but has also made 42 NHL appearances for the New York Islanders.
After undergoing hip surgery in the summer, the forward has only played three games this season. In order to gain match practice, he will take part in the Spengler Cup in the week after the end of the year. However, it is not yet known which team Fritz will join.
