Tennis coach Severin Lüthi receives the special prize at the Swiss Olympic Coach Awards in Magglingen.
As a long-time coach and companion of Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka, as well as captain of the Swiss Fedcup and Davis Cup team, the level-headed Thun native gained worldwide recognition and became a role model for many up-and-coming coaches, writes the governing body of Swiss sport in a press release. Lüthi has made a significant contribution to the success of Swiss tennis over the last 20 years.
Orienteering coach Sandra Lauenstein, beach volleyball coach Denis Milanez and wheelchair sports coach Marc Lutz were presented with the Swiss Olympic Coach Award 2024. All three of these personalities have celebrated great successes with their athletes and have left their mark on their sports.
Swiss Olympic has been honoring the commitment of young coaches with the Swiss Olympic Coach Awards since 2012.
