Switzerland is represented by a quartet at the World Cup show jumping in Amsterdam, but they are not in contention for victory. Steve Guerdat was the best Swiss rider in 16th place.
Guerdat thus scored at least one World Cup point with Lancelotta in the third-last jumping competition before the final in Basel in April. Of course, the Olympic silver medallist would have hoped for more. The same applies to Martin Fuchs on Conner Jei and Géraldine Straumann on Long John Silver, who finished 21st and 23rd respectively. Edouard Schmitz gave up with Gamin van't Naastveldhof after a refusal.
The winner was local rider Marc Houtzager with the 17-year-old Dutch mare Dante.
