The SCL Tigers end their longest losing streak of the season after six games. The team from Langnau beat the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 3-1.

The Tigers inflicted only the third defeat on the Lakers in the eleventh game since Johan Lundskog took over in Rapperswil. Immediately before the Lundskog era, the Lakers had lost eight games in a row.

Langnau has only lost six times recently: against Servette (2:3), Ajoie (0:1), ZSC Lions (0:1), Kloten (2:3), Biel (1:5) and Zug (2:3). Langnau managed to turn things around, especially in offense. After scoring only seven goals in the last six games, the Emmentaler scored three goals this time.

The SCL Tigers led 2-0 after just eight minutes thanks to a power-play goal by Sean Malone and a counter-attack goal by Saku Mäenalanen. In the second period, the Rapperswilers were able to reduce the deficit in double overtime through Malte Strömwall, and six minutes later 19-year-old Jiri Felcman restored the two-goal gap. It was the Czech junior's first goal in the National League.

With the win, the SCL Tigers (10th) moved to within two points of the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers (8th) in the standings. The gap to 6th place (and direct playoff qualification) is eleven (Langnau) or nine points (Rapperswil).
