Tadej Pogacar is aiming for a fourth Tour de France triumph in 2025. "The Tour is my most important goal, along with the World Championships," he announced on Tuesday.
The Slovenian has not yet decided whether he will ride the Giro d'Italia again in 2025 or possibly take part in the Vuelta. He will not contest all three grand tours, he stated at the team meeting of his UAE team in Benidorm, Spain.
This year, Pogacar was the first rider since Marco Pantani in 1998 to achieve the Giro-Tour double, and he subsequently also won the World Championship title in Zurich. With 25 wins this season, the 26-year-old team-mate of Swiss riders Jan Christen and Marc Hirschi had an outstanding season.
Pogacar also has his sights set on several classics in 2025. He will make another attempt at his first victory at Milan-Sanremo. His season starts in February at the UAE Tour.
