Lando Norris is the winner of the first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Englishman in the Mclaren wins the Australian Grand Prix ahead of world champion Max Verstappen in the Red Bull.

George Russell in the Mercedes completed the podium in third place.

The turbulent race, which was partly run in the rain, claimed numerous victims. Team Sauber also benefited from this, winning six championship points with Nico Hülkenberg in seventh place. Gabriel Bortoleto in the second Hinwil car was one of six drivers who did not reach the finish line.
