Martin Fuchs wins the CHF 500,000 Top 10 Final at the CHI in Geneva. The Swiss rider secures victory in this competition for the first time.
The Top 10 Final is the first of two major competitions at the CHI of Geneva. Martin Fuchs already won the other highlight, the Grand Prix, in Geneva in 2019 and 2021.
Fuchs, the number 9 in the world rankings, slipped into the exclusive field due to a cancellation. Fuchs was only in 11th place in the world rankings when entries closed; however, he moved up for the absent Conor Swail.
A total of three riders remained without a knockdown. However, the competition was unable to match the Swiss rider's magnificent time in the second round.
Steve Guerdat, the main Swiss attraction in Geneva, did not saddle up his gelding Venard or Dynafix, but instead competed with Iashin Sitte. The pair made a mistake in both rounds, meaning that the 42-year-old Guerdat had no chance of a fourth victory in this competition after 2010, 2018 and 2023. Guerdat finished ninth.
