One day after the 2:6 defeat against the USA, the team of national coach Colin Muller lost to Finland 0:4.
Like against the USA, the defeat against Finland was caused by three goals conceded in the middle third. Saskia Maurer had to make three saves between the 29th and 38th minute. The first period (0:0) was still open in terms of the result.
The Swiss will now play twice against the Czech Republic for 5th place at the third and final stage of the new tournament series this weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10.30 a.m.). The Czech Republic, against whom the Swiss celebrated their only victory so far on the Euro Hockey Tour at the end of August in Kloten (2:1 n.p.), also failed to pick up a point and score a goal in their games against Canada and Sweden.
