Jonas Hasler achieves a personal best result of 5th place in the snowboarders' slopestyle final at the Laax Open.
The 18-year-old from Thurgau, who was the only Swiss to qualify for the finals in this discipline at his home World Cup, was able to improve on his semi-final and qualification results. In the end, Hasler, whose best classification in the World Cup was a 6th place last season at the final in Silvaplana, was just over one and a half points off the podium with 82.20 points.
The Canadian Cameron Spalding took the win with 86.63 points, ahead of the American Gerard Redmond (86.22) and the German Noah Vicktor (83.72). Britain's Mia Brookes (84.86) won the women's event ahead of New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski Synnott (77.29) and Japan's Kokomo Murase (71.15).
