HC Davos is still the leader in the National League. Thanks to their 4-3 win over Ajoie, Davos remain three points ahead of the ZSC Lions, who have played two games less.
The ZSC Lions won at home against Lugano (5:1) for the first time after three defeats. Zurich SC seems to play its best games against opponents from Ticino. Only in the 7:1 away win in Ambri have the Lions won more clearly than against Lugano this season.
The third top team, Lausanne HC, is not in action until Sunday against the SCL Tigers.
Kloten (5th) won the direct duel at the top of the playoff standings against Biel (7th) 4-3 after overtime after trailing 2-3 with 78 seconds remaining. Goal scorer Miro Aaltonen scored Kloten's late winner, as he had done the night before in Rapperswil.
Genève-Servette also lost another home game 3-2 against SC Bern. And Ambri-Piotta came back from six consecutive defeats to win 5-3 against Fribourg-Gottéron thanks to four goals in the final period.
