The clear verdict was to be feared, especially as it was practically a clash of two worlds - the bottom team in the league against the clear number 1 in the West and number 2 in the season so far. The Thunder have only lost one of their last thirteen games since losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Cup final in Las Vegas in mid-December. The Wizards, for their part, have only managed six wins so far.
The Thunder had never won by such a large margin in this regular season, while the Wizards' 101-137 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks five-and-a-half weeks ago was the biggest defeat in their record so far in this championship. In the Wizards' sixth defeat in a row, Wallis forward Kyshawn George scored eight points and grabbed two rebounds.
