Viktorija Golubic has no chance at all in the first round of Wimbledon. She lost to the lower-ranked German Jule Niemeier 2:6, 1:6 in just 63 minutes.
This is a great disappointment for Golubic (WTA 67), as Wimbledon is one of her favorite tournaments. However, after a brief rain interruption after two games (1:1), she was unable to find a solution against the powerful Niemeier (WTA 90).
