RTV Basel surprisingly celebrates its first win in the NLA since promotion this year. The team coached by Thomas Haegeli beat Pfadi Winterthur 26:24 on the road.
The game was evenly poised from start to finish, with neither team able to open up a gap of more than two goals. Elia Meister scored the last goal to make it 26:24 with 16 seconds remaining. Pfadi's Tim Rellstab was the game's top scorer with eight goals.
The visitors also won the second game on Sunday; BSV Bern defeated Suhr Aarau 33:31, only trailing three times, most recently at 11:12 (21st minute). While BSV goalie Mathieu Seravalli impressed with 14 saves, Felix Aellen (8) and Nico Eggimann (7) were responsible for almost half of the visitors' goals. Nikos Sarlos scored eleven times for Suhr Aarau.
