After Friday's 4-1 win, the New Jersey Devils with the Swiss trio of Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Jonas Siegenthaler also won their second NHL game in Prague against the Buffalo Sabres, this time 3-1.

While Nico Hischier had scored a goal and Jonas Siegenthaler an assist the day before, this time Timo Meier added his name to the scoresheet. The 27-year-old power forward, who had to undergo shoulder surgery after last season, scored the 3:1 in the 55th minute after a wonderful assist from Jesper Bratt.

Two newcomers, Seamus Casey (32) and Paul Cotter, were responsible for the Devils' goals from 0:1 (29) to 2:1 (48). On Friday, three of the four goals were scored by new signings - Cotter was already successful in this game.

New Jersey therefore seems to have gained width. However, new coach Sheldon Keefe's team faced the Sabres, a team that last made the playoffs in 2011. It remains to be seen how good the Devils really are after last season's disappointing campaign.

The two teams now travel back to the USA. New Jersey's next opponent on Friday night will be the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team for which Keefe was previously head coach, in front of a home crowd.
