Nico Hischier's 500th game in the NHL regular season will not be remembered fondly. The New Jersey Devils lost 3-1 to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon.
The team from Newark, which is actually well on course for the play-offs, is currently going through a difficult phase. New Jersey lost for the third time in a row and for the eighth time in the last ten games.
Even in Hischier's anniversary game, the "Devils" didn't show much and only fired a total of 14 shots (1 from Hischier, 2 from his Swiss teammate Timo Meier), seven of them in the final period.
