Chiara Tamburlini is the next success story for Swiss golf in France.
The 24-year-old from St. Gallen won the Ladies Open de France on Saturday, consolidating her lead in the Ladies European Tour (LET) season rankings.
Tamburlini beat Australian Kirsten Rudgeley in the play-off in Deauville after she had started the final day as the leader and corrected a false start with three birdies on the 8th, 9th and 10th holes.
Five months ago, Tamburlini had already triumphed at the Joburg Ladies Open in South Africa. She also has two other top three results on the LET this season.
