The cantonal council is examining whether it wants to keep a tighter leash on heritage protection and environmental associations - at least in the case of health and educational buildings. They should no longer be able to submit appeals for such projects. It has provisionally supported a parliamentary initiative (PI) from the FDP, EVP, Center Party and SVP. The PI received 93 votes. 60 votes were required for provisional support.

Parliament supported a second parliamentary initiative by the centre-right, which also wants to restrict the right to complain to associations. According to this PI, the financial interests of public institutions should be weighted more heavily than the interests of associations. This initiative received 88 votes.

The canton is to make representations to Bern on behalf of homeowners with low incomes. Parliament provisionally supported a parliamentary initiative (PI) of the SVP with 127 votes. The PI calls for a state initiative. Its aim is to introduce a hardship clause to prevent senior citizens from having to sell their home because their tax bill is too high.

The canton has provisionally supported a parliamentary initiative by the Greens, EVP, AL, GLP and SP with 86 votes. The initiative calls for pensioners to be informed more specifically about their entitlement to additional benefits.
