Cantonal vote JU Majority in favor of the Moutier Concordat in the Jura (Trend)

According to initial interim results, the people of Jura have approved the Moutier Concordat with over 71% of votes in favor. After 32 of the 50 municipalities had been counted, there were 7330 yes votes and 2941 no votes.

These interim results relate to municipalities in all three Jura districts. Ederswiler, the only German-speaking municipality in the canton of Jura, was the only one to say no to this intercantonal agreement on the transfer of the town of Moutier from Bern to Jura, with 51.1 percent. The voter turnout was 51.9%.

The people of Bern also voted on this proposal at the same time. No interim results are available yet.
