Eastern Switzerland Major fire destroys transport company building in Valzeina

A building complex belonging to a transport company in Valzeina GR burned down completely on Friday night - along with dozens of vehicles. A large fire department contingent of 70 firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to an adjacent residential building. The property damage amounted to several hundred thousand francs.

The fire was noticed a little after midnight, as reported by the cantonal police of Graubünden on Friday. Four people then left the house for safety. The firefighting operation was still ongoing in the late afternoon.
