The performance contract with the municipal theater obliges Langenthal to include CHF 545,000 in its budget each year from 2025 to 2028. The municipal theater must stage 31 guest productions and events per year. The aim is for at least 12,000 people to visit the theater each year.

The three libraries of Langenthal, Herzogenbuchsee and Huttwil are linked together under the umbrella of the Oberaargau Library Association and are entitled to operating subsidies from the canton and municipalities. This support is regulated by four-year service contracts.

With the conclusion of the service agreement for the period from 2025 to 2028, the city of Langenthal undertakes to include CHF 464,338 per year for the Langenthal library in its budget.
