Urban development 80 apartments and a hotel to be built near Emmenbrücke railroad station

80 rental apartments, a hotel and commercial premises are planned for the Emmenbaum site near Emmenbrücke railroad station. Construction on the 6,200 square meter site is due to start in 2027.

In addition to the hotel and rental apartments, innovative forms of living such as microliving and intergenerational cluster living are also planned, as announced by the Einfache Gesellschaft Emmenbaum-Areal on Tuesday. Five landowners belong to the company.

The investment for the construction amounts to CHF 90 million, according to the statement. The development is intended to revitalize the area around Seetalplatz. Alley-like intermediate spaces, an inner courtyard and communal terraces should contribute to this.

The planning application for the development will be submitted at the beginning of October. The existing buildings on the site will be demolished. Succession solutions will be sought with the tenants affected, according to the company. Occupation is planned for 2029.
