The Nashville Predators stop their latest losing streak in the NHL thanks in part to Roman Josi. They beat the Vancouver Canucks with Pius Suter 5:3.

It hasn't been the Predators' season at all so far. Before their away win against the Canucks, they were the weakest team in the league in terms of points, along with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Predators had lost six of their previous seven games and had recently suffered three consecutive defeats, with Josi among the goalscorers in the win in Vancouver. He gave his team a 3-2 lead in the second period with his second goal of the season. Two minutes earlier, the captain also had his stick in play when Canadian Steven Stamkos equalized on the power play. The Bernese thus achieved the next milestone. They were his 699th and 700th scoring points in regular seasons. Suter was not involved in any of the Canucks' goals.
