The Swiss Paraplegic Foundation and Swiss Post have settled their dispute over the new Swiss Post logo. In an agreement with the Foundation, Swiss Post has undertaken to use its new logo primarily in the yellow and red version.

As the two organizations jointly announced on Tuesday, both the Paraplegic Foundation and Swiss Post have signed this "coexistence and demarcation agreement". Logo opposition proceedings initiated by the Foundation before the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property will now be discontinued.

Swiss Post modernized its logo in April 2023 to mark its 175th anniversary. Since then, both logos have consisted of a Swiss cross on the left and a large P on the right. The Paraplegic Foundation argued that there was a great risk of confusion between the new Swiss Post logo and the blue logo of the foundation, particularly in the black and white application of the logo.

The Paraplegic Foundation now says that the agreed solution will greatly reduce the potential for confusion: Joseph Hofstetter, Director of the Swiss Paraplegic Foundation, is quoted as saying this in Tuesday's press release. The proceedings before the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property had already been suspended at the beginning of this year because both sides were willing to negotiate.
