The 9th edition of the Light Festival in Murten attracted over 63,000 visitors this year. According to the organizers, the favourable weather conditions played a decisive role in this positive result.

The well-attended second week of the festival with a sold-out Saturday in particular contributed to this success, the Murten Light Festival announced on Sunday.
This year's program took visitors on a journey into the world of myths and legends. A total of 21 installations by artists from seven countries could be admired on a tour through the old town and along the lakeshore, it added. This year, the focus was on live performances and moving performances.
The 10th anniversary edition of the Murten Light Festival will take place from January 21 to February 1, 2026.
