"With Stefan Bollinger taking over as CEO, Julius Baer is opening a new chapter. It is a good time for this change at Board of Directors level", Lacher was quoted as saying in a press release on Monday.
Bollinger took up his post as Group CEO of Julius Baer on January 9, 2025. His predecessor Philipp Rickenbacher resigned just over a year ago in the wake of the Signa debacle. Nic Dreckmann then headed the bank on an interim basis for a good eleven months.
It will apparently not be that long before a successor to Lacher can be announced: According to the communiqué, the search process for a Chairman of the Board of Directors is "nearing completion".
And like Bollinger, the next Chairman of the Board of Directors will also join Julius Baer from outside. According to the bank, an external candidate has been sought. The election proposal is expected to be communicated in March.
