The lower salaries in particular are to be increased, with the pay rise generally amounting to at least 50 francs per month for a full-time position. It applies to employees of Migros companies that are subject to the national collective labor agreement.
According to the press release, Migros has negotiated the wage increase with all social partners. It was signed by the National Commission and the Butcher's Staff Association. The Swiss Commercial Association has "taken note" of the outcome of the negotiations.
The Confederation is forecasting inflation of 1.2 percent for the current year. The budget agreed should enable Migros companies to compensate for inflation - "or even more".
