The Schaffhausen police arrested a man on Sunday morning who allegedly assaulted four people at a petrol station, injuring some of them. Two children are among the injured.

After a witness tried to stop the man, the alleged 25-year-old perpetrator is said to have fled along Finsterwaldstrasse in the direction of Wiesenweg. According to the statement, the man is said to have indiscriminately hit two children there. The children were injured and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

According to the police, they were able to arrest the man shortly after the incident. The Schaffhausen police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
