According to the United Nations, almost 120,000 people have been newly displaced since Israel's fierce attacks in Lebanon began on Monday. Since the outbreak of fighting between Hezbollah and the Israeli military on October 8 last year, a total of more than 200,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (Ocha) said in its situation report.

Due to renewed attacks, many of them have already had to change their place of refuge several times. 85,000 people are currently registered in 640 emergency shelters.

The humanitarian sector in Lebanon is severely overstretched due to the ongoing attacks and the high number of displaced people, Ocha reported on Platform X. Many of the staff have been displaced themselves. Many of the staff have been displaced themselves. There is not enough capacity to meet current needs. Many access roads are also buried under rubble.
