Russia has once again attacked Ukraine overnight with swarms of combat drones. The Ukrainian air force announced in the morning that 50 of 73 drones located had been shot down. Almost 20 drones were presumably put out of action by electronic defenses. In the capital Kiev, the night-time air alert lasted for more than three hours. More than ten drones threatening the city were intercepted, the military city administration announced on Telegram.

The Russian Ministry of Defense in Moscow in turn reported that more than 30 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted overnight. According to Governor Alexei Smirnov, 27 Ukrainian drones and two missiles were shot down over the Kursk region alone. The figures provided by the military cannot be verified in detail. However, they allow conclusions to be drawn about the extent of the mutual attacks.

In the Kursk region, the radar of a Russian S-400 air defense system was switched off, the Ukrainian General Staff later announced. This could not be independently verified either. There was no confirmation from the Russian side. At the time of the hit, the S-400 system was not being used for air defense, but for firing at Ukrainian ground targets, according to the Kiev side.
