According to Russia, it repelled numerous Ukrainian drone attacks during the night. According to the Ministry of Defense, 51 drones were destroyed over the Krasnodar and Belgorod regions as well as over the Crimea annexed by Russia and the Sea of Azov.

According to unconfirmed reports, one of the targets was the Krymsk military airport in the southern Russian region of Krasnodar, more than 300 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian front line. The governor of the region, Weniamin Kondratjew, wrote on his Telegram channel of a "massive drone attack". There were no casualties.

In the border region of Belgorod, three civilians and three soldiers were injured in attacks, wrote the governor there, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on Telegram.

In the Russian-Ukrainian war, which has been going on for more than two and a half years, the Ukrainian side has repeatedly carried out counter-attacks on Russian territory. Kiev's aim is to destroy supply routes and military infrastructure. Ukraine has been defending itself against the large-scale Russian invasion for almost 1,000 days with Western help.
